GIS Day Field Trip for 5th Grade Students
The Delaware GeoEducation committee celebrates GIS Day by hosting a field trip for 5th graders to learn about geospatial technologies. Since the first field trip in 2008, this event has grown in teacher interest and student participation. The event, held at the Dover Air Mobility Command Museum, annually hosts just 300 students. DCGE coordinates one of the hands-on stations that engage students in learning about geospatial technologies.
The DE GeoEducation Committee HUB contains a GIS Day Video Showcase as well as instructional tools and resources.
