Dionisios (Dion) G. Vlachos is the Unidel Dan Rich Chair in Energy Professor of Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering, a Professor of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Delaware, Director of the Delaware Energy Institute (DEI), and Director of the Catalysis Center for Energy Innovation (CCEI), an Energy Frontier Research Center (EFRC).
Research Interests:
Reaction mechanisms and kinetics, rational design of catalysts, sustainable energy, renewable fuels and chemicals from lignocellulosic biomass, recycling and upcycling of plastics, shale gas conversion, process intensification and electrification (plasma, microwaves, joule), multiscale modeling, artificial intelligence
