Although things may have been a bit shaky starting out, this year’s ASME Fall Semester Picnic was a great success. Attendance way up from last year, and we even introduced vegetarian dining options for burgers and hot dogs.
Under the shade of the shelter, ASME members & local professionals hit it off and discussed a variety of topics. It was great seeing familiar faces, as well as some new ones — such as the AIAA representatives who attended for the first time.
Of course, no picnic would be complete without the food — of which we had plenty. A special thanks to the ASME Delaware Section for covering the costs of this event, and to ASME UD members for staffing it.
Thank you to everyone who came, and a special thanks to the UD Engineering Student Outreach Office for the tablecloths & lawn toys. We hope everyone had as great of a time as we did, and hope to see you all again next year!
