Tuesday, April 10th from 6:30pm to 8:00pm in Kirkbride 205
Please join us in welcoming Dave Fogarty from DOW Chemical Company!
Dave has 25 years of experience in industry (almost all in manufacturing and engineering). He would like to share with us some of the critical skills that he has developed along the way that may not be emphasized in school. These skills can be essential to success!
Here are some of the skills that can be important to develop:
- Getting along well with others (Probably the single most predictor of success…)
- Being able to disagree successfully
- Knowing how to troubleshoot and solve a problem efficiently through the process of elimination
- Not being afraid to work on something you know nothing about… and learn it on your own
- Being committed to learning everyday… forever
- Being willing to lead
- Knowing how to ask for help
- Knowing how to be wrong
- Knowing how to keep the needs of your ego lower than the needs of your team
And More! But you have to come to find out!
Please RSVP by emailing us at UDASME@gmail.com
