I am pleased to invite you to the second annual Kick-off Reception and Art Exhibit for the Black Alumni Organization’s (BAO) Homecoming weekend at the University of Delaware.

Enjoy a vibrant networking reception with President  Harker, the UD BAO, and the African American Empowerment Fund featuring a silent auction, smooth jazz from the Johnny Graham Trio, and light fare.  Admission is free. Hosted by Dr. Tony Allen, Dr. Pat DeLeon, & Cynthia Primo Martin.   Co-sponsored by the UDAA and the Office of Development & Alumni Relations.

The exhibit, “Her Story: Margo Humphrey Lithographs and Works on Paper”, be prepared for a personal narrative that chronicles Humphrey’s life, loves, family, fears, joys and more. Although often intimate and idiosyncratic, Humphrey’s personal stories can be linked to the political dynamics of the feminist art movement that emerged in the 1970s during her early years of development as an artist and printmaker.

If you are able to join us, please RSVP to ud-bao@hotmail.com.  For more information about the Black Alumni Organization’s activities during homecoming weekend, please visit https://secure.www.alumniconnections.com/olc/membersonly/UDA/event/showEventForm.jsp?form_id=62854.  If you are not already a registered user on UD’s online community, you will be prompted to sign up.

We are looking forward to a terrific evening and hope to see you there!
