The African Heritage Caucus at University of Delaware:
Our aim is to promote a supportive and welcoming environment in which African heritage faculty, professionals and salaried staff can achieve their fullest potential as employees. Our mission is to support the University of Delaware’s commitment to diversity as expressed in its Mission Statement.
Main objectives of the African Heritage Caucus:
- Encourage and facilitate professional and informal networking among members
- Increase members’ awareness of and knowledge about their professional development opportunities at the University of Delaware
- Encourage and support University efforts to make the work environment more welcoming for members.
Members of the African Heritage Caucus:
All persons of African heritage employed by the University of Delaware are considered members of the Caucus.
The caucus is one of nine Diversity Caucuses, administered by the Office of Equity & Inclusion.
