Women in Engineering (WiE) sponsors events throughout the year with the overall goal of increasing gender equity in STEM, while promoting a healthy institutional climate for all folx within our engineering community. WiE welcomes participation from all students, faculty, and staff, regardless of gender identity/expression, race, nationality, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or socioeconomic status.
Events and programs are organized by the WiE graduate student steering committee– comprised of two graduate student representatives from each department in the College of Engineering (COE), and two faculty advisors. The steering committee works together to host events that are inclusive for students and faculty of all gender identities and expressions. The representatives also serve as liaisons between their home departments and WiE to share information and resources for additional support. If you are interested in learning more about WiE, please reach out to any of our graduate student steering committee members or faculty advisors.
