1. Forum on International Education Conference | LinkedIn Recap
The TGP team had the privilege of participating in The Forum on Education Abroad’s 20th Annual Conference in Boston, where we had the opportunity to reflect on the present state of the industry and engage in discussions about upcoming trends. 2. TakeĀ Action for Our Planet: Earth Day 2024 Not sure where to start this Earth Day? The GREEN Program team is excited to take part and promote this year’s Earth Day with a theme of Planet vs. Plastics. 3. 2024 Global Respectful Disruption Summit | 4/17 & 4/19
Dr. Sumie Song will speak at the 2024 GRDS Disruptive Master Class on “The Impact of Censorship: Preserving Diversity and Dissent in a Connected Global World” with Hannah Sorila of Womenā€™s Freedom Center and Dr. Neal McKinney from AIFS Abroad. The panel will explore the complex landscape of censorship and how censorship impacts underrepresented groups and voices globally. Panelists will share their experiences with censorship, including climate denialism; highlight the challenges faced and the resilience needed in their respective fields; and discuss effective ways of fostering understanding, addressing inequality, and promoting free expression in restrictive environments.

Reconstructing the Baltimore Bridge with a Focus on Safety, Sustainability, and Community Well-beingĀ | Read more
After a bridge collapse on March 26 that resulted in a tragic loss of six people, the U.S. Department of Transportation plans for repairs and design of the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore to prioritize increasing resilience to climate change and safety, aligning with the FHWA Emergency Relief program and the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law to incorporate measures for better withstand future damage from climate change and weather events.
