Background
Dublin Farms Inc. is a 5th generation potato and row crop operation located in Northern Accomack county on Virginia’s Eastern Shore. Dublin Farms specializes in summer table stock potatoes as well as commercial string bean, corn and soybean production.
Objective and Opportunity
- Assist the Dublin Farms team in all aspects of crop production, field evaluation, fertilization, cultivation, packing and shipping.
- Hands on training with state of the art John Deere auto steer, mapping and data transfer technologies.
- Hands on training with center pivot irrigation.
- Hands on training with state of the art vegetable packaging, cooling, traceability, warehouse management and equipment software.
- Real world training involving machinery use, maintenance and up keep.
- Enjoy outside work minutes from the beach with excellent earning potential.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license
- Great attitude and willingness to work long hours
- Willingness and ability to do very physical work
- Previous equipment operation is a plus
