Jennifer Semrau, PhD
Principal Investigator
Dr. Semrau joined the Department of Kinesiology and Applied Physiology at UD in 2018. She received her PhD in Neuroscience from Washington University in St. Louis in 2011, and completed a post-doctoral fellowship in Clinical Neuroscience at the University of Calgary in 2018. Her research focuses on using robotics and technology to improve assessments and rehabilitation for those living with stroke. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outside with her dog (walking/hiking), building stuff, arts and crafts, and baking unhealthy things.
Joanna Hoh, MS, OTR/L
BIOMS PhD Student
Joanna is an occupational therapist who graduated from Duquesne University, and has experience in acute care and inpatient rehab settings. She enjoys playing games and reading.
Devin Austin, BS
BIOMS PhD Student
Devin is a recent graduate from Michigan State University. He enjoys birding, weight lifting, cooking, and home improvement projects.
Amelia Decarie, MS
BIOMS PhD Student
Amelia is a new graduate student in the Biomechanics and Movement Science (BIOMS) program at the Amelia is a graduate student in the Biomechanics and Movement Science (BIOMS) program at the University of Delaware. She completed a Master’s of Science in Human Kinetics and a Bachelor’s of Science in Human Kinetics at the University of Ottawa in Canada. Her research interests lie in upper-limb proprioception post-stroke. When she is not doing research, she loves to train and compete in Ironman Triathlons.

Kenna is a recent graduate from the University of Delaware. In her free time she enjoys bike riding and hiking with her dog.

Arianna is a first-year undergraduate student enrolled at the University of Delaware, pursuing a degree in Neuroscience. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her three cats, baking, and spending time at the beach.

Shae Leathery is a senior Kinesiology major with a minor in Disability Studies, aspiring to become a Pediatric Physical Therapist. She is highly involved both on and off campus in organizations such as UDance and Delaware Dance Fever.

Abi is a senior Kinesiology major. In her free time, she likes to be outdoors and take her dogs on hikes.

Dash is the Chief Morale Officer of the lab. He enjoys daily walks, running and playing with his sticks, napping, and eating.
