Jennifer Semrau, PhD
Principal Investigator

Dr. Semrau joined the Department of Kinesiology and Applied Physiology at UD in 2018. She received her PhD in Neuroscience from Washington University in St. Louis in 2011, and completed a post-doctoral fellowship in Clinical Neuroscience at the University of Calgary in 2018. Her research focuses on using robotics and technology to improve assessments and rehabilitation for those living with stroke. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outside with her dog (walking/hiking), building stuff, arts and crafts, and baking unhealthy things.

Duncan Tulimieri, BS
BIOMS PhD Student

Duncan is a graduate student in the Biomechanics and Movement Science program and a recent graduate from Denison University. When not working in the lab he enjoys fishing and exploring the outdoors.

Joanna Eskander, MS, OTR/L
BIOMS PhD Student

Joanna is an occupational therapist who graduated from Duquesne University, and has experience in acute care and inpatient rehab settings. She enjoys playing games and reading.

Devin Austin, BS

Devin is a recent graduate from Michigan State University. He enjoys birding, weight lifting, cooking, and home improvement projects.

Kenna Gilley, BS

Kenna is a recent graduate from the University of Delaware. In her free time she enjoys bike riding and hiking with her dog.

Jessie is a senior Exercise Science major with minors in Biology and Spanish for Healthcare. In her free time she enjoys hiking, running and being outside.

Makenna Dixon
Undergraduate Researcher

Makenna is an Exercise Science major and Community Engagement Scholar. When not working in the lab, she plays on the UD Women’s Club Rugby Team.

Julia Gray
Undergraduate Researcher

Julia is a senior double majoring in Exercise Science and Music. While not studying via the elliptical and quizlet method, Julia enjoys hiking, baking, musical theatre, and playing her violin, piano, or guitar.

Alexa Saldida
Undergraduate Researcher

Alexa is an Honors Exercise Science major with minors in Strength and Conditioning and Health, Physical Activity, and Disability. She is interested in pursuing a career in physical therapy. Outside of the lab Alexa enjoys playing the ukulele, being outdoors, and spending time with friends and family.

Chanel Smith
Undergraduate Researcher

Chanel is a senior undergraduate student at the University of Delaware, majoring in Biological Science. She is currently pursuing a career in the Cannabis industry while taking a year off working as a Horticulturist for Native Roots in Denver, Colorado. She will be returning for the 2021-2022 academic year to continue her studies and work as an undergraduate researcher for Dr. Semrau.

Chief Morale Officer

Dash is the Chief Morale Officer of the lab.  He enjoys daily walks, running and playing with his sticks, napping, and eating.
