AREA OF STUDY: Graduate thesis research in areas of importance to the DOE Office of Science
OPEN TO: All
AWARD: The SCGSR program supports supplemental awards to outstanding U.S. graduate students to conduct part of their graduate thesis research at a DOE national laboratory in collaboration with a DOE laboratory scientist for a period of 3 to 12 consecutive months—with the goal of preparing graduate students for scientific and technical careers critically important to the DOE Office of Science mission.

AWARD: 10-week summer internship program for undergraduate and graduate students majoring in homeland security related science, technology, engineering and mathematics (HS-STEM) Disciplines. Graduate students receive a $7,000 stipend plus travel expenses.

Inter-American Foundation (IAF) IAF Grassroots Development Fellowship Program Award: Ph.D. candidates who are currently enrolled at a U.S. university and are citizens of the United States or of an independent country in Latin America or the Caribbean, except Cuba, may apply. Before beginning research funded under the IAF Fellowship, students must have advanced to candidacy for a Ph.D. in the social sciences, physical sciences, technical fields or other disciplines as related to grassroots development issues in Latin America or the Caribbean. |

Google Google Lime Scholarship Program Award: Recipients of the 2015 Google Lime Scholarship will each receive a scholarship for the 2015-2016 academic year. Selected students will also be invited to attend the annual Google Scholars’ Retreat at the Googleplex in Mountain View, California, in 2015. Candidates will also be considered for software engineering internship opportunities with Google. Scholarships will be awarded based on the strength of candidates’ academic background and demonstrated passion for computer science – $10,000 for those studying in the US and $5,000 for those studying in Canada (based on tuition costs). |
