Fruit Crop Insect Scouting

David Owens, Extension Entomologist, owensd@udel.edu

Tree Fruit
Continue scouting for stink bugs. Most of our blacklight traps are only capturing a handful of stink bugs, but our trap west of Greenwood captured 110 over the last three nights.

Blueberries
Scout for Japanese beetle going after blueberry.

Grapes
Begin scouting for Japanese beetle aggregations and defoliation. Grapes are tough, capable of losing a third of the leaves.
