Maryland’s Department of Agriculture has issued a spotted lanternfly quarantine for Cecil and Harford Counties, MD. The official notice can be found here: https://news.maryland.gov/mda/press-release/2019/10/28/department-issues-spotted-lanternfly-quarantine-in-cecil-and-harford-counties/. Now that we have had some good killing freezes, the danger of a hitchhiker getting onto your vehicle should you travel to those counties is low, BUT be careful when moving equipment, landscaping material, or other outdoor items from those counties. This also goes for New Castle County, DE which has a quarantine for all of the county north of the canal. Be looking for egg masses.
