UDWC Special Interest Groups 2019-20
These special interest groups allow our paid members to gather and share their interests and talents. Sign up for the group you are interested in by calling the leader below. If you have an interest or hobby to share, start a group. Our membership is always looking for another good reason to get together. To start a new interest group, contact a member of the steering committee.

Walking Group

Book Group — Daytime, 2nd Wednesday
Leader: Nancy Allinger, nancya@udel.edu. First meeting: Wednesday, September 12, 1 pm. Locations will change. This year's books to be discussed are:

Book Group — Nighttime, 2nd Wednesday

Stitchery Group – Wednesday, once a month
Leader: Karen Schueler (kschuelr@udel.edu or 302-294-1589). Make progress on your own projects in a social setting and take advantage of the stitchery expertise of other members. New members are welcome. Generally meets on one Wednesday a month at 7:00 pm, in members’ homes. Upcoming meeting: Wed., November 13.
Gardening Group
The Gardening Group will see the Bamboo and Mums exhibit at Longwood Gardens on Sunday, November 10. New members welcome. Leader is Karen Schueler (kschuelr@udel.edu or 302-294-1589).
Movie Group - 3rd Tuesday
Co-Chairs: Peggy Sacher (PeggieD@aol.com) and Nancy Allinger, (nancya@udel.edu). Main Street Movies 5 Interest Group. Let's go to a Tuesday Matinee, $6, once a month, at the Main Street Movies 5 in Newark Shopping Center.
Cooking and Baking with Renata Group
Leader: Renata Murakowska, Renata@udel.edu. Generally meets several Saturdays each semester. November 9, 11:30 am: dishes with pumpkin, squash, zucchini and eggplant for Thanksgiving Dinner. Contact Renata by Nov. 7.
