Supporting our community through biannual drive
Dining Services invites students and the greater campus community to join us in the semesterly Fill the Pantry initiative, combating food insecurity in the Newark area.
From Monday, May 13, through Friday, May 17, bags of nonperishable items from the Harrington and Pencader P.O.D. Markets will be for sale for members of the campus community to purchase. Once purchased, UD Dining will match and deliver the items to Blue Hen Bounty and the Food Bank of Delaware on the guests’ behalf. Bags are valued at $5, $10, and $20 will be available to purchase with Points, Flex, or credit.
UD Dining is encouraging students, faculty and staff to participate in a weeklong food drive to help fill local food pantries with nonperishables. All donations will go directly to Blue Hen Bounty, the University of Delaware’s student-led food pantry, and the Food Bank of Delaware located in Newark.
