The Wildlife Clinic at the Schuylkill Center is seeking engaged and committed college internship applicants for the Spring/Summer 2023 season!
Throughout the 6-week internship period, our interns will become skilled caretakers of the many injured and orphaned young wild animals that come through our doors each spring and summer. Interns will learn all the basics of wildlife husbandry in a clinic setting. You will learn how to feed, weigh, monitor, medicate, and eventually assess for release. You will also develop leadership skills by helping us train new interns and volunteers towards the end of your internship period.
The internship will be 6 weeks long, and we are asking for a commitment of 15-20 hours per week. If looking for credit, schedules can be adjusted as needed. We ask that you be able to commit to the full 6-week period with no interruptions. You may continue on after the 6-week period as an animal care volunteer. Our internship program is designed for all levels of experience. We are happy to work with individual applicants to help meet their personal and professional goals.
If you would like to apply, please email sstundon@schuylkillcenter.org a resume and cover letter, as well as your 6 week preferred availability.
This internship is unpaid with the potential for college credit.
