Groundskeeper job at St. Andrew’s

This position will work closely with the Grounds Supervisor to manage
the day-to-day maintenance. This will include but is not limited to the care of 20 acres
of natural grass athletic fields and general grounds work around the main campus.
Additional responsibilities include a variety of tasks, including but not limited to the
following: landscaping, lawn, and athletic field maintenance, tree work, operation and
maintenance of lawn and field equipment, and ability to use manual (i.e., rakes, garden
tools) and power equipment (i.e., tractors and mowers, grass blowers), as well as the
ability to perform automotive vehicle and small engine maintenance (basic). Snow
removal and emergency call-ins may be required.

Christy is a graduate of the Biden School of Public Policy and Administration at the University of Delaware with a master's in Public Administration. She is the chief operating officer of a local non-profit, 3B Brae’s Brown Bags and a Communications Specialist for the University of Delaware. Her research interests include issues of social justice, such as nutritional insecurity, community re-entry, and domestic violence. She also volunteers with her local school district and has a deep passion for education policy, as she believes many social injustices stem from inequitable opportunities in education.
