Curious about how animal body systems work, and what happens when they don’t? ANFS 345: Introduction to Animal Physiology is a fully online summer course that dives into the biological, chemical, and physical functions of domestic animals at every level, from molecule to organism.

Course Overview:
This course covers the comparative physiology of domestic animals and introduces pathophysiology– the study of diseases resulting from disruptions in normal physiological processes. You’ll explore how animal body systems function at molecular, cellular, organ, and system levels.

Prerequisite: ANFS 240
Corequisite: BISC 205, BISC 207, or BISC 208

Ideal for students pursuing animal science, pre-vet, biology, or related fields, this course builds a strong foundation for careers in animal health, veterinary medicine, and research.
