Part of the Humane Society of the United States and located in Murchison, Texas, the 1,400-acre sanctuary provides a permanent haven to over 600 domestic and exotic animals representing over 40 different species. Residents include tigers, bears, primates, kangaroos, bison, horses, farm animals and more.

BBR is accredited by the Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries and is a member of the North American Primate Sanctuary Alliance (NAPSA) and the Big Cat Sanctuary Association. These organizations are comprised of top-notch sanctuaries whose mission is to advance and advocate for the welfare of the animals in their care.
