Agricultural Consultant needed for GROWING company.
Rosetree Consulting, LLC, is a well-established, independent agricultural and regulatory consulting company serving customers in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. We are looking to add an Agricultural Consultant to our team to support and service farms in Central Pennsylvania (this role would primarily service clients in Lebanon & Dauphin counties).
Job responsibilities will include:
- Identification of in-season weeds, pests, diseases, etc. and development of, and communication around, timely mitigation strategies to help clients to maximize yield
- Procurement of soil tests and development of fertility recommendations to ensure optimal conditions for crop growth and regulatory compliance
- Education of client base around nutrient stewardship and soil health practices that benefit farm profitability and increase an operation’s environmental sustainability
- Project Management, Business Development and Precision Ag Support
Candidates should have strong interpersonal skills, an ability to work independently, and a science-based background with a desire to learn. Well-qualified candidates will also have a degree in Agricultural Sciences, Agronomy, Soil Sciences or a related field, as well as 2-4 years of work experience in the agriculture sector (Candidates who are Certified Crop Advisers are highly encouraged to apply).
All candidates must be willing to live in the territory serviced (Lebanon or Dauphin counties) during their time in this role with the company.
