JOB POSTING: DELAWARE MASTER NATURALIST PROGRAM ASSISTANT

$15.00/hour 10 – 15 hours per week for the Spring Semester ‘24

Purpose: The Delaware Master Naturalist Program is a volunteer service training program targeting the Delaware public to become Certified Delaware Master Naturalists. Delaware Master Naturalists volunteer with Local Organizing Partners across the state of Delaware on projects such as environmental stewardship, citizen science, and education/outreach. Having begun in March of 2020, the program has grown significantly and has trained over 200 people in Delaware. There are currently over 70 active Certified Delaware Master Naturalists and a new cohort of trainees, our biggest cohort ever at 66. The program needs an assistant to help with growing coordination needs. This will be a great opportunity to connect with natural resource and environmental organizations around Delaware. Position Description: The position will be focused on several areas of coordination to include events, marketing materials, and recognition program. This will include scheduling and helping plan small events such as networking and training opportunities for volunteers. Developing marketing materials such as flyers, signs, and social media. This work may be done mostly remotely with a few in person events which will occur throughout the state. The work, while time sensitive, is mostly done on your schedule. Experience with Google programs such as Forms, Drive, and Sheets is preferred.
