The Fund for the Public Interest is a national nonprofit organization that runs campaigns on behalf of environmental and social change groups like Environment America, or The Public Interest Research Group (PIRG). We typically run campaigns on legislation related to climate change, plastic waste, and other various environmental, public health, and consumer protection issues.
We are hiring students for paid, full-time roles on our summer campaigns, as well as long term career opportunities for graduating seniors. Students who work with us over the summer will gain skills in communication, leadership, and financial management as they gain exposure to the operations of a grassroots campaign. Students will also have the opportunity to participate in a variety of campaign activities including: running media events, canvassing, writing editorials, and lobbying elected officials.
