Agent Letter: May 2019

Dear 4-H Families,

Happy May!  4-Her’s were very busy during the month of April.  Most recently younger members, teens, adult volunteers enjoyed a “Seasonal” weekend at Cape Henlopen State Park for our annual Younger Member Weekend.  Look for more information on many events in this newsletter.

Thank you to the clubs who submitted a club report this month, please keep them coming!  Be sure to submit your club news to Tammy or myself by the 25th of each month.  Include a fun activity, projects completed, and photos of your club in actions.  We love to see and share what each club is doing!

During May, many holidays will be celebrated:  May Day, Cinco de Mayo, Mother’s Day, and Memorial Day.  Many 4-H events and activities are also planned:  Livestock Tagging, Archery Shoot, Make-up Demonstrations, Farm Tours, Sussex 4-H Links Spring Fair and the DE 4-H Alumni Social!

Hopefully the sunshine and warmer temperatures will decide to stick around!  I encourage everyone to go outside and enjoy healthy activities such as biking, walking, hiking, or just having a picnic in your backyard or a local park.  Take time out of your busy schedules to spend with the ones you love most!

Yours in 4-H,
Jill Jackson
