This class covers the many components of solid waste management systems, from waste generation through collection, processing, and disposal. Although a significant portion of the semester focuses on landfill design and operation, we also cover anaerobic digestion, composting, incineration, and other waste processing technologies.

The course also includes a semester project which integrates concepts from throughout the class.

Here’s the syllabus from spring 2023.
