Sarah McQuade is the Founding director of e.t.c coaching consultants, an international coach development practice.
Sarah has spent 20 years working within education, sports and sports coach education. She led the technical development of the UK Coaching Certificate (a professional qualifications framework) with sports coach UK, the UK government’s lead agency for coaching.
She spent 10 years consulting with sports organizations in the UK to support the training and ongoing professional development of coaches and coach developers. Organizations included UK Sport, Sport Scotland, The Professional Golf Association, Rugby Football Union and UK Athletics among others.
Now based in the USA Sarah works collaboratively with partners to create the right coaching systems, coaching programs and coaches to ensure they can positively impact athlete experiences and outcomes. At the delivery end of coaching much of her work is focused on helping beginner coaches learn how to coach and at the elite end helping established coaches think differently about how they do what they in order that they can improve their coaching effectiveness.Alongside the ICECP she counts various national and international sports organizations as clients including the US Olympic and Paralympic Committee, UK Coaching, United Soccer Coaches, US Tennis Association, USA Weightlifting, USA Football and TB12
Dr. Peter G. Davis

Dr Davis has worked in elite sport management for over 28 years.
Originally from Australia, Dr Davis received his MSc from the University of Oregon and his PhD from the University of Minnesota in the USA. Since that time he has had a diverse and unique career in several countries and different sport systems. He has been involved as a high level sport physiologist, a coach in the US collegiate system (Asst Volleyball Coach University of Oregon) and a high performance sport administrator. He has worked with professional sport teams, Olympic Teams and amateur non-Olympic teams at all levels, all ages and all sports. Dr Davis started his career in elite sport in 1981 as an Exercise Physiologist for Nike Inc, working with some of the best Track and Field athletes in the world at the Athletics West Track Club.
Since that time he has worked at the Australian Institute of Sport, first as a high performance Exercise Physiologist, then with the “Olympic Athlete Program” to help prepare Australian athletes for the Sydney 2000 Summer Olympics.
After the 2000 Sydney Olympics, Dr Davis was recruited by the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) to direct their Coaching and Sport Sciences Division. During his time at the USOC he was directly involved with coaching development and science and technology implementation for US Olympic teams for the 2002 Salt Lake Winter Olympic Games, the 2004 Athens Summer Olympic Games and the 2006 Torino Winter Olympic Games.
He also served as General Manager of the High Performance Unit for Australian Rugby in 2005/2006.
In the lead up to the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games Dr Davis was the Director of Sport Sciences, Sports Medicine and Technology for ‘Own The Podium’, an Olympic preparation program for Canadian athletes for both the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics, as well as future Canadian Summer Olympic Teams (2006-2008).
Dr Davis is now the Director and Founder of Sports Performance Management, and consults with Olympic teams, National Olympic Committees, National Sport Ministries in countries across the globe (including New Zealand, Singapore, Great Britain, USA, Botswana, Jordan and Canada) in all areas of high performance sport planning and development.
In addition to his high quality work with various teams and countries Dr Davis is also a well respected speaker on all areas of performance management and has delivered dozens of presentations around the world including scientific congresses, international conferences and community based organizations.

Ian Barker

Ian Barker serves as a staff instructor for U.S. Soccer’s coaching education program, teaching both state and nationally hosted residential licenses. He served as the men’s soccer coach at Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota, and assistant coach of the University of Wisconsin men’s team from 1989-97.
He has also instructed the National Youth License for US Youth Soccer. From 1997 through 2007, he served as director of coaching and player development for the Minnesota Youth Soccer Association (MYSA), where he co-developed Parents and Coaches Together (PACT), a training program designed to create a more positive soccer experience for players, coaches and parents.
Barker has also served as technical director for International Sports Connection, part of a team funded by the U.S. State Department to assist in the creation of a youth soccer system in Uganda. Through this program, he has educated nearly 400 Ugandan coaches.

TJ Buchanan

World Lacrosse
Director of Sport Development
TJ Buchanan comes to ICECP with over 10 years of professional experience in Coach and Athlete Development. Currently, TJ is the Director of Sport Development for World Lacrosse, the international federation for the sport of lacrosse. In this role he provides service in the areas of NGB Development, Coach and Athlete Development and Officials Development to over 60 existing member countries, as well as assisting in new nation recruitment and development. Prior to his role with World Lacrosse, TJ served as the Technical Director for Athlete Development and Curriculum Manager, Coach Development at US Lacrosse, the United States national governing body for the sport. Over the past 12 years TJ has conducted over 100 Coach Development clinics, has trained over 5000 lacrosse coaches, and more than 50 coach developers.
TJ holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education, and has completed extensive post-graduate work in exercise science and physical education.
