The University of Delaware and the US Olympic & Paralympic Committee partnered again to create the Virtual International Coaching Enrichment Certification Program (ICECP).
The program provides coaches with intensive education that consists of online lectures and self-reflection. It is funded by the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
Participants in ICECP are all national-level coaches in their home countries.
Topics include:
- Art and Science of Coaching
- Coaching Leadership and Ethical Aspects of Coaching
- Athlete Development
- Sport Psychology and Mental Preparation
- Sport Performance Nutrition
- Sport Physiology and Training Design
- Biomechanics and Sport Technology
- Athlete Performance and Wellbeing
The program was conducted in partnership with the IOC, Olympic Solidarity, which provides financial assistance to National Olympic Committees around the world.
“We are looking to build Virtual ICECP into the best online coach education program,” stated Matt Robinson, program director. “The faculty we have presenting are committed and passionate group of world-reconized professionals.”
