Leila is interested in solving high-impact research problems related to healthcare education, using applied machine learning and human-centered computing. 

Current Students

Zhang Guo

 

Zhang is a PhD student in the Department of computer and information sciences at the University of Delaware. Her research interests are deep learning, computer vision, and creating virtual/augmentented reality applications.

Alina Christenbury

 

Alina is a PhD student in computer science at the University of Delaware who is interested in human-computer interaction, game development, and virtual/augmented reality.

Kyle Wang

 

Kyle is a PhD student in the Center for Bioinformatics and Computational Biology at the University of Delaware who is interested in how virtual/augmented/mixed reality better shape the world in the healthcare industry. Kyle is currently working on building gamified VR applications to provide assessments of patients’ progress during virtual therapy.

Lauren Baron

 

Lauren is an undergraduate honors student studying computer science at the University of Delaware. She is interested in virtual/augmented reality, cybersecurity, and human-computer interaction.

Vincent Beardsley

 

Vincent is an undergraduate honors student at the University of Delaware, working towards a bachelor’s degree in computer science with a minor in writing. His interests range over many areas of computer science, including algorithmic analysis, software engineering, operating systems, and many more.

Yan-Ming (Steve) is a PhD student in the Department of computer and information sciences at the University of Delaware. His research interests are social mixed reality, and social robot for cyber-security education.

Matthew Bonham

 

Matt is interested in the intersection of human-computer interaction and natural language processing, specifically in the healthcare domain.
