This is the end!

Well the journey of this blog has come to an end, and as I write my final post I must reflect on a couple things! (Mostly because it’s my grade on the line lolz) At the beginning of this adventure my goal was to look into Crew as a sport and see what cool things I would find throughout the journey. As I furthered my search I found out some pretty interesting for example the reason why lightweight rowers must weigh in the day before a race, which is because a rower once died from trying to drop to his weight that same day of the race.  I also learned about the women’s team in Yale University who protested for them as a team to be acknowledged and to receive the same things as the men’s team. However even thought I thought these things to be interesting I was not as interested in writing a whole paper on it. So I decided to change my topic completely on to a topic that I could relate to more closely compared to crew, which was immigration reform, but with this topic came great responsibility. So much in fact that the problem at hand was too big to deal with so I then narrowed it down to student immigrants. This interestingly enough was something that I like to be educated about so I could help those friends of mine that are affected by this problem. I have become more educated in the topic and can analyze both points of view allowing me to be less bias to one side in trying to find out a good solution, not only that but I feel that this is a good strategy for becoming a good writer, which is showing both points of view not neglecting any use full detail. As I end this post my advice for future students is topic they like and are really interested in and make sure to read for the quizzes.
