Environmental Testing Lab at the department of Civil and Environmental Engineering performs a wide range of analysis of various types of samples, including but not limited to water, wastewater, soils, and gases. We provide a variety of testing services and educational support to UD community, commercial enterprises and others engaged in water, soil, and air quality management.
- The services are free for the University of Delaware community, provided the users cover consumables and repair costs and fee-based for the general public. UD users are responsible for equipment calibration and standard preparation.
- All users must strictly adhere to the University of Delaware safety policies and wear appropriate attire while operating instruments in our lab. Please consult UDEHS website for laboratory dress code and safety requirements
- All UD users must have up to date EHS training records. The two required safety trainings are Advanced Chemical Hygiene and Right-to-Know, and Chemical waste disposal. They are available online at UDEHS website. These are minimum safety trainings that are required to obtain access to our facilities. Based on the type of research you may be required to take additional training.
