Fashion on All Fronts

This week, WVUD paid a visit to the “Fashion on All Fronts: Stories from the Wardrobe, 1914-1918” exhibition in the Old College Gallery. “Fashion on All Fronts” showcases stories from World War I told through the clothing of the time. The exhibition features military uniforms, wedding dresses, footwear, political posters and much more. Upcoming events include a lecture on women and fashion during WWI on October 4, a gallery talk entitled “Wearing WWI” on October 21, and a conversation about WWI posters on November 15, among other events.

“Fashion on All Fronts” is one of four exhibitions presented by Special Collections and Museums of the University of Delaware Library, Museums and Press. All the exhibitions are on display through December 8.
