This week, Campus Voices sat down with Estella Atekwana, the dean of the University of Delaware College of Earth, Ocean, and Environment (CEOE).
Atekwana was named dean of CEOE in June. She said the “exciting science” that takes place at the University of Delaware encouraged her to join the Blue Hen family. CEOE hopes to spread the excitement about science at their Coast Day celebration in October. Visitors at Coast Day can enjoy a variety of contests and events, like a crab cake cook-off and an oyster shucking competition, all while discovering how scientists study coastal environments.
Coast Day: Discoveries on Land, In the Air, and At Sea takes place in Lewes, DE, on Sunday, October 1 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m at UD’s Hugh R. Sharp Campus.
