UD Tour Add-On Option

Add a day & join us for a tour of the University of Delaware

Getting to Rehoboth Beach from PHL can be somewhat expensive or challenging without renting a car (which is a good option for those comfortable driving in the US), so we invite you to come early to visit UD on Sunday morning and have a tour of our campus and facilities. After the tour we will provide a complimentary bus from Newark, Delaware to Rehoboth Beach. If you choose to take this option, we encourage you to use Delaware Express to get to Newark but Uber or Lyft are other options.

Tours of UD’s campus, the Materials Growth Facility (mgf.udel.edu) and the UD Nanofabrication Facility (udnf.udel.edu) will be offered on Sunday morning (full schedule below). Partial tours are an option if requested.

We will provide a bus to Rehoboth Beach leaving Newark, Delaware at 2pm and a return trip to Newark on Wednesday. This will simplify your journey and reduce the cost of transportation.

Note: Delaware Express also provides service to Rehoboth Beach directly from the airport but the cost can be high unless several people share a ride.

Travel Directly from PHL/BWI to Rehoboth Beach

Renting a car is the most cost effective option but ground transportation through Delaware Express is an option (share a ride with others to reduce the cost).

2:00 pm Board bus at Smith Hall Overpass for travel to Rehoboth Beach

Return trip to Newark from Rehoboth will be offered on Wednesday
