In a gentle way, you can shake the world
Hi, I am Behdad Chalaki. I am a research assistant at the Information and Decision Science Laboratory at the University of Delaware. I am pursuing my Ph.D. under the supervision of Professor. Andreas Malikopoulos.
My research interests are in network optimization, optimal control, and machine learning, with an emphasis on transportation networks. In particular, I am motivated by problems related to improving traffic efficiency and safety in smart cities using optimization techniques. I am trying to develop an online framework for Coordination of Connected and Autonomous Vehicles in the presence of uncertainty.
Using the next generation of information and communication technologies, we can enhance the effectiveness of the traffic system by introducing connected and automated vehicles (CAV’s) in the transportation network.
