We’ve received reports of two separate phishing emails today: one concerning an unspecified “security concern” and the other claiming that the recipient’s password is about to expire. Both are phishing scams; do not click the provided links!

Multiple members of the University community have seen the emphatically titled “CAMPUS SECURITY ANNOUNCEMENT!” phishing email in their inboxes. The nonexistent “Department of Security and Safety” should be a big red flag–to say nothing of the grammar issues. On top of it all, the sender’s email address does not have the “udel.edu” domain: “cordonea@easternct.edu.” A screenshot of the phishy email is provided below:

The second email is even sloppier with its grammar and should be an obvious phish:
