Cucurbit downy mildew now prevalent on butternut squash in the mid-Atlantic area. It has been confirmed in Prince George’s and Wicomico counties in Maryland, and Sussex County Delaware, and is likely present in all butternut squash plantings. Growers throughout the region should manage this disease if fruit are still ripening.
