Weed Science Training: Building on the Basics

Friday, March 14     8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
University of Delaware Research & Education Center, Georgetown, DE

Objective: Train professionals in the ag industry and those who work on weeds frequently. Topics to include weed management concepts and principles.

Training will focus on weeds and issues with agronomic crops and commercial vegetables.

Topics to be covered include:

● Weed Biology and Identification

● Integrated Management: it’s not just about herbicides

● Herbicides in the Plant: what’s going on in there

● Herbicide Resistant Weeds and Crops: we like one but not the other

● Herbicides and Soils

● Developing Weed Management Programs

Class starts promptly at 8:30 am and ends at 3:30 pm. Lunch is provided and resources will be available. There is no fee for this training.
