In 2013, SBR has been detected in 116 counties in seven states in the U.S. including 42 counties in AL, 22 counties in FL, 18 counties in GA, 15 counties in MS, 10 parishes in LA, seven counties in SC, and two counties in AR. The forecast is calling for some storms in the southeast coming in from the northwest. There has been a good deal of activity in Florida, Alabama, and Mississippi but no reports of disease north of South Carolina yet. The five day forecast is not calling for conditions that should spread SBR into the area.
