As of last week, we had not detected any spotted wing drosophila in our four trapping locations. However, the first suspects were found in Maryland last week and states to our north have started to detect flies in traps. We did find this pest in Delaware during the 2012 season and maggots were found infesting bramble crops. Be sure to consider this pest when making treatment decisions in small fruit, grapes and stone fruit.
