Last week there was a report of late blight in a tomato greenhouse operation in Berkeley Spring, West Virginia. This should not pose a threat to Delaware growers at the current time. However, it should remind you to scout your potatoes regularly and apply appropriate fungicides when the environmental conditions are favorable for disease. The potato disease advisories are posted in the Weekly Crop Update and provide you with information to properly time fungicide sprays to protect your potatoes from late blight.
