Barley is rapidly approaching harvest. If you have wheat in the field, now is the idea time to be scouting for FHB. It is much easier to get a sense of FHB when heads are still green, as everything dries down it is a slower and less accurate process to assess the level of FHB present. Steps on how to scout were shared in the May 16 article. I have been seeing more common rust around than at this time the past few seasons. It should have still moved in late enough that it will not have an impact on yield, but something you may encounter walking fields.
