Continue scouting for potato leafhopper.
Soybean
Scout full season bean fields that have reached R3-R5 for stink bugs. Thresholds are 5 bugs per 15 sweeps. If you do not see some leaves in the bottom of you net, sweep harder. The rest of the defoliator complex is present. With the dry weather and drought stress on the beans, be more aggressive towards defoliation. Traditional thresholds were 30% defoliation, you may want to bring that down closer to 20% as we would use for double crop soybean.
