Greenhouse Transplants
Continue scouting greenhouses for signs of aphids and spider mites. If an infestation is found, it is far easier to treat a flat than to treat a field, and more cost effective than hoping it goes away once planted!
Legume Vegetables
Seedcorn maggot activity is increasing. Any seed planted in the next couple of weeks should have an insecticide seed treatment on it. Thiamethoxam in Cruiser is an industry standard, but we have also had good results over the last several seasons with chlorantraniliprole and spinosyn materials used as a seed treatment.
