Control of Volunteer Corn Ahead of Small Grains

I have had a couple of questions about control of volunteer corn before planting small grains. Since the corn is Roundup Ready and often has Liberty resistance, glyphosate and glufosinate are not options. Products like Select (clethodim), Assure II, and Poast all have replant intervals and are not an option unless you are willing to wait. I don’t have much experience with this except relating it to previous work on control of corn for replanting. Paraquat (Gramoxone) was quite effective on control corn, particularly when the corn was over 4-inches tall. Since the volunteer corn seed is at or near the soil surface, I expect similar results to a replant situation.
