Physical Activity Recommendations

Physical Activity is one of the best things people can do to improve their health. Last week we discussed the importance of physical activity for our health. This week, we have information for how much and what type of activity is suggested for various age groups. Aim for the recommended activity level for your age range in the chart below. If you are unable to meet the recommendations, be as active as you can and try to avoid inactivity. Remember, some physical activity is better than none. Try to get outside for 30 minutes and exercise this week- go for a walk, jump rope, or practice yoga!
