Mark VanGessel, Extension Weed Specialist; mjv@udel.edu
A lot has been written about Harrington Weed Seed Destructor for help with herbicide resistance weed management, but this is a chance to see one in action at the USDA-ARS Beltsville Research Farm on November 2. Extension Specialists from PA, DE, VT and NC are involved in research and testing of strategies to combat herbicide-resistance, and this is a chance to demonstrate and discuss some of these approaches.
I know its short notice, but we are going to host a field day at the USDA-ARS Beltsville Farm on November 2 and feature the Harrington Seed Destructor as well as some other Integrated Weed Management Research. It will run from 10 to 2 and include lunch and offer CCA Credits. And it’s FREE! If you are within driving distance and interested in some on-going herbicide resistant weed research, please join us.
To RSVP: Contact Karen Adams, UD Carvel Bldg (adams@udel.edu or 302-856-2585). Additional information will follow registration.
