People

I'm Tyler Van Buren, a researcher with a passion for fluid dynamics, aerodynamics, and experimental techniques. I received my B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI). At RPI I worked on projects ranging from: nano-air vehicle design; oscillating surfaces for flow modification; flow control actuator development; and unsteady/steady jets. Then I did research at Princeton University for some time, where I focused on bioinspired hydrodynamic propulsion, wall-bounded turbulence, and stratified flows.
