Grace Savoy-Burke is a PhD candidate in Entomology. Her research focuses on interactions between soils, flowering plants, and the insects who feed on pollen and nectar. Specifically her dissertation explores the effects of a variety of environmental factors on floral reward nutrition and the attractiveness of flowers to pollinators and other insect visitors. Grace is passionate about teaching and curriculum development, particularly exploring art as an educational tool and other alternative approaches that create engaged, caring spaces in the classroom. She also loves gardening with native plants, creating insect art, and hiking with her dog.
