The Mid-Atlantic Certified Crop Advisers are here to provide sound agronomic advice. To grow future Certified Crop Advisers (CCAs), the MACCA Board is offering two scholarships up to $1,000 each and financial assistance to take the CCA Exam free of cost, following graduation. Scholarship applications are now available for the 2023 – 2024 school year and are due February 24, 2023. Applicants must be a resident of or attending a college or university in the Mid-Atlantic region (Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Virginia, or West Virginia) and working towards a degree in plant or soil sciences, agronomy, or an agriculture-related field.
Scholarship funding is provided by the Mid-Atlantic Certified Crop Advisers Program. The purpose of the scholarship is to provide financial support to students interested in pursuing a career that would lead them to become a certified crop adviser or certified professional agronomist.
The scholarship committee will select the scholarship recipients, with all personal information redacted, based on the student’s agronomic background, relevant field involvement, financial need, grade point average, agronomic related studies, career goals, and extra-curricular activities.
