Join Plant Futures @ UD

Today’s food systems face immense challenges from climate change, social inequities, and inefficiencies. Students across disciplines are eager to contribute to sustainable and plant-rich food solutions but often lack the support, networks, and opportunities to connect their passions to meaningful careers.

That’s why we are launching a chapter of the Plant Futures Initiative (PFI)—a national non-profit started by students at UC Berkeley to bridge the gap between students and meaningful careers in sustainable food systems.

What is Plant Futures?

Plant Futures is about:
● Community: Building social connections around sustainability and food systems.
● Professional Growth: Networking with food system leaders and attending monthly career talks.
● National Engagement: Collaborating with students from over 90 chapters across the country.

Examples of What Chapters Have Achieved:
● UCLA Chapter: Hosted a VegFest with local plant-rich vendors and live music.
● Harvard Chapter: Organized faculty-led panels on food systems, social justice, and climate change.

Why Join?
This is a student-led initiative, and we have the opportunity to build something truly impactful here at UD. Whether you want to attend events, gain leadership experience, or simply learn more about sustainable food systems, there’s a place for you here.
